Joseph’s ukulele

This soprano ukulele was made for my nephew, Joseph Jr.

    The components are:

  • Spanish cedar top (2-piece)
  • Birdseye maple back (2-piece)
  • Birdseye maple sides (2-piece)
  • Mahogany neck
  • Claro walnut and Birdseye maple face plate
  • Cocobolo fretboard
  • Birdseye maple fret markers (at 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th frets)
  • Mystery wood bridge
  • Ebony nut and saddle
  • Claro walnut tail stripe, heel cap, and sound hole rosette (with toothpick inner ring)
  • Graphtec tune-a-lele tuners
  • Martin M600 fluorocarbon strings

The Claro walnut, Cocobolo, Ebony, and mystery wood were all donated by my uncle, Gerry VanNess.
